A meeting at 13:00 on 21st March 2016 at the office of the Water Directorate in Belgrade was held with Serbian stakeholders. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss WRM development scenarios/concepts for the Drina Basin. The power companies (EPS), Srbijavode, Institute for Nature Protection as well as MAEP and members of the Consultant team were represented. In addition to the standard Green Growth and Full HPP maximisation scenarios, the meeting agreed to pursue a concept with focus on irrigation on the lower part of the Drina Basin and on a staged approach over time for full HPP maximisation.

The workshop to discuss the results, conclusions and recommendations for the IWRM country reports for the Drina (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia) was held at the Park Hotel in Belgrade on the 25th and 26th January 2016.

The workshop was well attended over both days with stakeholders from line ministries,  power companies and water and environmental agencies together with the participation of the World Bank and Key and Non Key staff members from the Consultant. Minutes of the workshop are under preparation.

Key Expert 2 and Key Expert 3 and Non Key Expert 2 made visits to the Project stakeholders in BiH and Montenegro during the week 11th to 15th January 2016. This included meetings in Sarajevo, Banja Luka, and Podgorica. The main discussion concerned the challenges and priorities in environment and HPP issues at a regional level in the basin, as well as the planned managements in progress and the lack of data and data request of the Consultant.

Members of the JV Consultant team attended a meeting in Belgrade on 23/24 November at the Water Centre, Sava Danube Raft, Brodarska 3, New Belgrade to provide feedback to the Consultants that are preparing the Project Appraisal Document for GEF – SCCF funded project - Technical Assistance for Water Management in the Drina River Basin facilitated by the World Bank.

 A World Bank Mission visited the region between 21st to 25th September 2015. Meetings were held in Sarajevo, Belgrade and Podgorica to discuss the progress and project status.
